Family owned and operated, Garden Bloomers Takao Nursery is a dedicated supplier of perennial liners featuring over 900 varieties from around the world. We are based in Fresno, California, shipping to growers here on the west coast and throughout the nation. Our state of the art facility and the varying conditions of the San Joaquin Valley allow us to deliver products that are strong, hardy and ready to grow!

Danny Takao, president, is active not only within the company, but in the horticulture industry with his participation in various organizations. Danny is a member of OFA an Association of Floriculture Professionals, the Society of American Florists, the Perennial Plant Association and the Plant Propagators Society. He currently serves as Vice President of OFA and Treasurer for Florastar. Danny is constantly searching the globe for new plants and breeders so that we can provide our customers with a unique and extensive list to choose from. Our list of exclusive patented varieties includes plants from Blooms of Bressingham, Conard Pyle, Greenex New Zealand , Plant Haven, Pride of Place Plants of Canada, Kieft Seeds

and much more! We are also proud to announce that we are now the exclusive North American agent for DeRuiter's New Roses of Holland and one of three licensees for all Suntory Japan products in the U.S!

With the addition of a younger staff and the third Takao generation coming on board in 1999, the move to take this business to the next level had begun. Restructuring, reinventing and rejuvenating the company were major points of attention. Quality plants, an efficient facility and attentive customer service had always been areas of focus, now it was time to give Takao Nursery an identity. With all advertising and marketing done in-house, we could really express who we were and what we stood for.

Cheerful and colorful marketing were soon defining the company as more than just a nursery and rather as one big happy family. Centering on the fun side of plants and trying to personally connect with our customers continues to be the basis behind our innovative approach. As the company grows, so do our efforts to provide our customers with new products and ideas. It's not about just growing plants, it's about cultivating life!
